{"id":604,"date":"2019-12-04T12:20:49","date_gmt":"2019-12-04T18:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cvpclub.org\/?page_id=604"},"modified":"2020-03-31T19:51:39","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T00:51:39","slug":"range-rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cvpclub.org\/?page_id=604","title":{"rendered":"Range Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Primary Rules of Gun Safety &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Handle\nall\nguns\nas\nif\nthey\nare\nloaded.<\/li><li>Never\npoint\na\ngun\nin\nan\nunsafe\ndirection.<\/li><li>Keep\nfingers\noff\nthe\ntrigger\nuntil\nsights\nare\non\nthe\ntarget.<\/li><li>Know\nthe\ntarget\nand\nwhat\nis\nbeyond\nit.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safety Rules&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>EQUIPMENT<\/strong><ul><li>Eye and ear protection is mandatory.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>PERSONAL<\/strong><ul><li>No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol is allowed on the range.<\/li><li>Minors are prohibited from shooting unless directly supervised by an adult.<\/li><li>One shooter at a time per bay unless a firing line for that bay is established.<\/li><li>No shooting from outside the bays.<\/li><li>No person goes down range until shooting in that bay has stopped.<\/li><li>Before any person goes down range all guns in that bay shall be made safe.<\/li><li>Guns shall not be handled when any person is down range.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>TARGETS<\/strong><ul><li>Only cardboard, paper, and polymer targets may be used.<\/li><li>Only CVP provided steel targets may be used (no personal steel)<\/li><li>Ground-based polymer targets are prohibited<\/li><li>No explosive targets, no tannerite<\/li><li>No clay pigeons.<\/li><li>No targets shall be placed on or near the top of the berm. <\/li><li>Targets shall be placed in such a manner as to reduce the chance of a ricochet  leaving the bay. <\/li><li>Steel must be shot from 9 yards away, or further<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>AMMUNITION<\/strong><ul><li>Black powder rifles and shotgun slugs may not be shot at steel targets.<\/li><li>No steel core, frangible or poly ammo may be shot at steel targets.<\/li><li>No handling of ammunition in designated safe areas.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Range Rules&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Hours of Range Usage: Sunrise to Sunset..<\/li><li>No center fire rifles or pistols that use center fire rifle caliber.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>The range is for pistols, rim fire rifles, pistol caliber carbines, shotguns and black powder rifles<\/li><li> Pick up trash and spent casings.<\/li><li>All guests must be accompanied by CVPC members and must sign the liability  waiver located at the kiosk.
